It was a local electronics shop, which has since (thankfully) gone out of business. They broke a video camera of mine while doing a simple repair, and then laughed about it and refused to replace or repair it. They said that further repairs would cost extra, even though the new damage was clearly their fault. They actually laughed about the way the camera fell off one of their work tables while a couple of young repair guys were rough-housing around and having a mock fight. After raising a bit of hell, I finally got it fixed, but the fix was only temporary, and the camera was ultimately fried.
Did I go back? No way. And apparently, neither did anyone else. They've been out of business for quite some time now. |

Cold Stone Creamery in Silver Spring, MD.
As soon as I got home (Vancouver, BC, Canada), I emailed a complaint in. Not only did they give me 2 free coupons for ice cream, a lawyer also contacted me. They are now closing down that particular Cold Stone Creamery.
The customer service was non-existant -- the entire staff was sitting in the back room playing with their cel phones. Wtf is that? |

I would say the airline industry has one of the worst histories (and futures) of customer service. Some might say the Gov't is the worst, but I have seen the airlines be consistenly worse than any government agency. |

Well i have relatively good experiences at stores, but my area coach always says this story. Something along the lines of she bought $250 worth of clothing, she brought back some shoes that didn't fit or something like that. and the clerk did not want to take the items back because she didn't have a reciept. she overreacted and flipped out over her own mistake, then she went home (the area coach) got all the stuff that she bought and returned it all with a reciept broke her Fashion Bug card and swore never to return, |

CLAIM JUMPERS IN LAS VEGAS.
WE HAD RESERVATIONS FOR 7:30PM GOT SEATED PROMPTLY BUT DID NT GET OUR FOOD UNTILL ABOUT 9:35PM!!!! IT TOOK THEM AN HOUR TO GET US OUR DRINKS. THERE WERE 22 OF US IN A PARTY AND THEY ONLY ASSIGNED 1 WAITRESS TO OUR TABLE TO DO EVERYTHING. WE COMPLAINED TO THE MANAGER AND HE DID NOTHING. EVEN CALLED AND SENT E-MAILS LATER AND STILL NO RESPONSE.
I GO TO VEGAS 4 TIMES A YEAR AND WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE TO EAT.
BY THE TIME WE GOT OUR FOOD WE WERE ALL SO TICKED OFF THAT WE COULDN'T EVEN EAT. |

The stores in my native country are smaller, and the people really connect with the customers. I have noticed that North American stores in general are less clean than the many in my native country...well, actually, that is just Wal-Mart here. Also, the employees do not always know how to help, and they are not the quickest. I will go back; who can argue with great prices? |

The Minneapolis Community and Technical College in Minneapolis, MN. No discipline for anything the student does (i.e. cell phones in class, late 20 minutes to class, customer service at computer lab, etc., etc.). The "school" isn't even open on Sundays, the God-given study day!
I guess that's what they call paying for convenience...It's cheap so you get less. |
