wpackof9 | What would be good compensation in the corporate world if you saved your company $360 million dollars? |
a team of 6 people, implementing something which saves a company $360 million over 3 years? don't want to be greedy, but I'm curious what kind of 'thank you' others have gotten for doing similar projects so I can recommend it to our exec's. |

Well, lets say shareholder are cool with sharing 5% of that with you guys to keep you around and thank you (18M).
Your CEO pockets 10M of that
His 2 main lackeys get 2.5M each
Your Boss gets 1M
That leaves 2M between the 6 of you, or about $333,333 each.
For your accountants sake, they decide to round that to $300,000, paid in company stock (post-notification of savings to market). |

6 people 360m , 10% would be 360,000
seems fair, $60,000 each. |

Probably keeping your job since making and saving money for the company is why you are there and they pay you.
It all depends how big your company is, if what you are doing falls under your normal job scope and how your reward and bonus system work.
I would say you probably will just get another bullet point to add when going for a promotion. If you are in a publicly owned company they probably have a set compensation method which you should know.
This is a real vague question and the way you wrote it sounds like you are doing your job, but I am all for getting what you can get. So go for broke man, but don't be dumb. |

Sounds like you work for a publicly traded company. It's going to be harder to get a cut since the stockholders are the owners. It's easier to get a % of revenue in than expenses saved. Throw out 10% divided by 6. You may get additional in the long run if you keep that on your review and if you apply for any promotions. |
