Here’s the situation. I am a supervisor for a 2-person department that is very slow. I have been finding my assistant (been here for 18 years) sleeping at the front desk where she is supposed to ...
I really like the $10 off my purchase. My husband on the other hand has only ever filled one credit app out. That was for a bag of "Snickers Bites".

I want $1,000,000 tax free; I think is is a great idea; and if your company is willing to do this for free, no strings attached...sign me up!

A 10-15% discount on the purchase is always very motivating to me. The only reason I've turned it down in the past, is because I already have too many credit cards. Though, I think that had the store sales person motivated me a little more with an optimistic attitude saying something like, "But I KNOW you plan to be back because we have such great products. It would make things so much more convenient for you when you do come back..."
A great attitude and friendliness go a long way.

A 10% discount on purchases that day. But, most people love free, so maybe a $5 gift card for Starbuck's or Blockbuster.

It actually depends on what customers you are targeting. When I was attending UF and I went to games, the credit card companies would give away free florida t-shirts to those who filled out applications. We did it for the shirt (hey we were in college, anything free was good). It is just important to first figure out what you are targeting, then you can further figure out what they would want.

Some rentals from blockbuster or something like that...I would fill out a form if I got a small gift card or something.
