It's not stolen, the Government are keeping it to themselves so they can watch us even more closely.
Forget Big Brother 2009, our country will already BE Big Brother by then! |

Although conspiracy theories are more attractive, more likely is that the disks are stopping a table in the staff canteen from wobbling by being tucked neatly under a leg. |

I think it is a cover up story for something else... If so much money from benefits are going abroad so why some one cannot take that opportunity and make a great fraud? Missing files will be a solid proof that some "criminals" took advantage of it instead |

The new cyberage is developing faster than law and society can control it.
With the best intentions and best will in the world Data in any form on any server is not safe.
All our personal data is accesable and even sold at some level throughout the internet and cyberspace.

Yes I think something strange is going on.
Not just a plain simple lost in the "post" type thing. Stolen to order perhaps by who? Legal or illegal or mis-information.
Is it just the U.K. its happening to or other countries being affected as well?
Transfer of data can be done electronically without need for discs. |

I think someone stole it hoping to sell it on the Internet, but lost their bottle once they realised that they would get caught as soon as they tried to sell it. |

Lying somewhere in a dustbin on the street somewhere like that no body will be bothered with it it' s just another example of British carelessness even though the country is very rigid in many of it's procedures |
