get a grip, I'd sooner have them dominate than Asda Walmart. It really naff's me off the way people in this country knock a successful british company who are doing really well. and would sooner let an american company dominate the uk grocery sector. |

I have thought about that too myself, Tesco slowly taking over other stores and soon all the corner shops will become extinct.
I believe that once Tesco has gained the power to control, they will slowly decide what we should buy or eat before we know it we have to worship Tesco as our false god at aisle 14 or so.
Move over MacDonald's.... Tesco will consume the Earth and all of us in it. We'll know its the end when Earth become announced as planet Tesco! |

I would rather be hung drawn and quartered than shop in Tesco, they are the slops of the supermarkets and every day i prey they will go bankrupt but too many stupid people shop there. |

It's a horrible thought, but scarily possible. I am lucky enough to live a Tesco free life, and never, ever go there. I walk to the local shops and buy my fruit and veg from stalls, bread from the bakers and meat from the lovely Alegrian butchers in the Seven Sisters Road. Fortunately, I don't drive, and live in an ethnically diverse area, so lots of cheap fresh food shops. I feel sorry for those who live in a "nice" area, don't have that choice and have to pay Tesco prices.
Just want to say I posted a question about another supermarket on here and it was taken off very soon. You may find this question classed as "abuse" by YA. And Mary - if all the other food outlets have been shut down, then you ARE forced to shop at the only one left |

Who will win the world domination war? Tesco or Richard Branson? They're both spreading at an alarming rate!! |

What a great success story Tesco portrays to the world, starting from meagre premises many years ago, and now selling one in eight pounds of UK's shopping expenditure every day.
When hard work and good retailing clock up these kinds of results, then is the time to feel proud of being British! |

Tesco should try to fill the shelves and put staff on the tills of the stores that are open instead of opening even more. |
