True story:
When I was teaching, I sent 3 of my "special needs" kids to the special ed. teacher's room to take a test. What I didn't know was that the special ed. teacher was out that day, and the kids took the test completely unsupervised.
They each made a 97. They each missed the same question. They each gave the exact same incorrect answer to the one they missed.
I met with them privately and told them, "Since this was clearly a team effort, I've decided to divide your 97 by 3 and give you each a 32. Now, since I'm a nice guy, I'm going to give you a choice. You can either keep your 32, or you can take your chances with a different test, UNDER APPROPRIATE SUPERVISION."
They chose the latter, and none of them got a 97, but they all did a damn sight better than 32, so to answer your question, yes. You'll want to mix it up a little. ;o) |
