When you are bonded for employment reasons, how long is it in effect?
I was bonded by a bank in the 70's is it still in effect or does it only apply to that company?

Gem
I've always understood that the bond is attached to the employer. So your bond "expired" when you quit working for the bank.

However, if you have been bonded before, it makes it easier to be bonded by another insurance company for another employer.

it depends on the company's policy. you may want to check it in your employment contract or directly talk with your human resources department.
