I got ripped off on a rebate due to deceptive business action by a Bestbuy.com phone employee, now I want to send a complaint to someone who can take action (I hope).
Additional Details
By the way, I've already spent hours and talked to as many people in the chain of command at BB via their 888-best-buy phone # with no success. |

Start with Bestbuy.com. Contact them by phone and certified mail. Make copies of all receipts and rebate information. If they don't respond, send to Better Business Bureau and your state Attorney General. When filing a complaint with BBB and Attorney General, send a copy to Best Buy. |

Well, call 1-888-bestbuy and explain it to them. WRITE DOWN NAMES. You will get no where with this person, so ask to speak to their manager. Write down this person's name. You will also get no where with the manager. They will tell you that they are as HIGH taht you can speak to. Keep complaining and tell them that you would like to contest their decision. They will provide you with an email address and/or a mailing address.
I will save you all of these steps. Send an eamil to:

Please send it to the attention of BRAD ANDERSON. He will respond within 7 days. If he does not respond, PLEASE write him back. He is the ONLY helpful worker for the ENTIRE bestbuy corporate. He will either tell you that you were wrong, or that best buy was wrong. He will be honest. GOOD LUCK. |

Youp, you're not alone - I know at least 4 people right now fighting them for rebates... there should be a class action lawsuit. The whole thing is false advertising on a massive scale - and worse b/c people waste more time and aggravation trying to get their money than it is worth.
I wonder how much of their profits come from this scam?

Best buy is a joke when it comes to customer service. Lately they have started breaking the law, which in my opinion really crosses the line. First of all if you know of anyone else that needs to file a complaint do it together. Your states attorney general office is more likely to hop to action if there are more then one complainants. If you want a fast answer from Best Buy call up local media outlets (radio, TV., newspaper) and notify them of this deceiving tactics. |
