Don't worry.
Immediately email the seller, apoligize, be polite and tell them about your mistake. The problem will take care of itself.
I once sold a $1999.99 item for 100.00 because I forgot to put a reserve on the item, and apolized to the seller. He was quite understanding and we both gave each other great feedback. |

wouldnt that be your maximum bid rather than you actual bid? you have definately won yourself an item - hope its something good! |

Aaaagghhhh! I did that once too but my bid defaulted to the $99.00.
You didnt bid 1290.00 -- you said that was your max bid so unless there is a big bidding war the price hopefully wont go very high.
I was nervous so I contacted ebay --- I cant remember what they said but worse case scanreo just dont pay it if you win and it's too high...It means your ebay score might get lowered but you can add comments to any bad feedback.... Its an honest mistake.
In my case I got lucky and the bids never got too high --- I obvioulsy won but I was okay with the price.....Hopefully the item you bid on is something cheaper so even if you do win the bid it's an amount youre okay with. |

Opps lol dont worry thoough i do that all the time.
Just click in the item you bidded on, at the top where the pic is there should be a bit that tell you how many bids there are. Click on that.. it will say 4bids ect. Then it will shows you the bidds.
At the bottom of thepage it says this...
If you and another bidder placed the same bid amount, the earlier bid takes priority.
You can retract your bid under certain circumstances only
then click on the retract bid and follow instrutions.
This only works if the acution is still going. Other wise mail te person and tell them that you bidd to much and will not be paying that ammount..
hope this helps |

You can do a bid retraction and rebid. |

It depends. If you put it on there as your max bid then you aren't in too much trouble because it will only go up that high if the bid is pushed up that far. Either way its still not a huge deal, I'm sure you can contact the seller and cancel the bid, he/she will probably understand, its pretty obvious it was a mistake. |

Just delete the bid. There is excuse line for typed in the wrong bid. Leave it alone, and my guess you will win the item for a reasonable amount. Your choice. |

I'm not 100% sure, my mom does eBay stuff. I think you'll just be changed to beat the highest bid instead of such an overbid. Right..?? Otherwise... Good luck... |
