It depends on how you define quality, on your priorities about a car.
In my opinion, Japan manufacturers are usually more cost effective and very good at details and customer care. For myself, I would go for a Japanese car. For instance, with its recent models, Toyota is becoming more and more attractive as a mid-class car brand (also more expensive, by the way).
But if your quality perception also includes a prestigious image, I think German cars are still far ahead. Just think to the top models from Porsche, Mercedes, BMW or Audi compared to the top Japanese. OK, Lexus is also good, but it's the only one.
Of course, pushing to the extreme, if you really want a dream car you should go Italian (Ferrari or Lamborghini). |

Japan of course, All cars made by there inovation are Factory under coated (keeps from rusting) Maintain the minumum if not all the safty requirments, Dependabilty usually backed by A 100,000 mile warranty and brand names such as Honda have the Highest resale value on the contemporary markets! Don't get me wrong I like the German Enginuity as well it's just Japaneese cars are by far a better buy for the working class guy who needs dependabilty to get him or her back and forth to work every day! |

Japanese. Take a look at Lexus LS430. The German cannot build any better quality car than that. Yet. |
