Walmart has a cheaper price on some things, but the quality of their items is lacking. Target has many items in their own brand that is only slightly more that walmart, but the quality is just as good as a real brand name thing.
Studies have been done on Walmart products that find that the cheapness of certain items like movies or books can be achieved by cutting out scenes or pages.
Their miracle grow dirt is not as strong nor as rich as miracle grow bought from a different store. Same brand and size of bag. They buy less quality and so can sell it for less.

Walmart is generally cheaper, but a lot of people are anti-Walmart because of their business practices. And the stores are so dirty. :(
I prefer Target. Their prices are cheap too.
