well its easy i work in blockbuster now for 5 months i think that its a good decision tuesday you get 2/1 thursday whit you gold membership you get 2/1 50% off on you late fees plus if you rent 5 movies the 6 one is free and if u are going to college from monday to tuesday there is a 2/1 kids rent free on sundays and i dont think you would wana get netflix it doesnt give you a good service it just delivers the movies you dont even now who your talking to i mean i now some people who have been going there since the blockbuster i work on open and they say its the best options for family friends and partners ....well i hope some one its sayng the same as me |

If there is a blockbuster near you, movies can be brought back right to the store. I have netflixs right now, and it seems if you don't get the new releases right away...they go to very long wait and you never get them. |

Blockbuster because to me it seems you get more for your money. Because once your done with the movies you received in the mail you can go to a blockbuster and trade for more! |

i don't know about Blockbuster, but I joined Netflix, and like them a lot. I chose their "send me 1 movie at a time for 8.99". And yes, my movies come from a distributor, but its located only about 25 miles away. it's very easy for them to send me a movie in 1 business day. So far, they've sent me 12 movies from the list I made. It's pretty easy to do, too. I guess it's a matter of taste, and just how badly you want to be able to rush movies to your local Blockbuster store. Through both company, that service costs a lot more than 1 movie at a time. If I had kids, I'd probably pick the plan you are thinking of. |

We have been doing blockbusters for over 2 years. Never had a problem with it. The price is the same for us. If I mail mine out Monday I usually have a new movie on Wed... at the latest Thursday. If I mail it out on Sat I can have the new release shipped to me on Monday... SWEET!
Plus if I don't want to wait I can just go to the blockbuster store. And I heard that you can now exchange your movies for games if you want. |

As for prices going up, atleast where I live, they have changed their rental policy to 99 cents per day per movie. So if you were to use it for the original 4-5 days, if you add it up it might be more expensive, but it is cheaper if you are going to only watch it once, and return it the next day. It gives you more options!
Also look into their "Rewards program." Even though it was one of those things they ask and you instantly think its a waste of money and might blow it off....ask for a brochure and look at it. For 9.99/year you get one free movie rental a month, every Monday-Wednesday, its rent one movie, get one free; and there are discounts like, every 4 movie or video game you rent, you get one free no matter what day of the week it is!
Its kind of a good deal, especially if you rent movies frequently. Whats also good about it is, you can use it at any Blockbuster- which is really good for me, as I signed up for one where I live at home, but can use it at the store near the college I attend!
