(full disclosure: I own 150 shares of Yahoo stock I scooped up at $23 a few months ago) Additional Details I can see from the early answers that people answer for no reason.
Additional Details Quixotic- simply by Walmart's pricing structure they have made it impossible for smaller businesses to compete.

I work in this industry and my job is to figure out which carrier is the most economical.
What I have discovered is that no one single carrier is the most cost effective in all categories. Every carrier has its niche.
The U.S. Post Office offers the best rates on light weight residential shipments. For example, if you are shipping packages that weigh less than a pound, USPS First Class Packages can be as cheap as $2.32 for an 8 ounce package.
FedEx, DHL & UPS provide discounts on their rates if you set up an account with them.
I suggest that you compare rates between at least the US Post Office and one of the others.
It really depends on what you are going to be shipping, how much it weighs, and whether it is going to a residence or a business.
Can you tell me if everything you are shipping is the same or if it varies?
If it is the same, what is the weight of the package?
Do you ship all over the U.S.?
Are you shipping to business or residential?
If you could provide these details, I could give you a better answer.

Probably USPS, but it depends on weight, distance, and how quickly you need it delivered.

I would recommend USPS because they are the most reliable.
All three charge about the same.

Depends on what you ship. If it is small, lightweight stuff, you can't beat 1st class.

USPS is most economical. FedEx is good if you ship a lot, and need it there fast.
