It depends on where you live and your needs. I believe Wachovia has better incentives to open an account and use your debit card (you can earn points for purchases). Wachovia's bill oay if excellent and free. They are everywhere I need them to be (VA, NJ & SC). |

Personally I bank and work with Wachovia but also use to have an account with BOA. I always tell customers that call and ask your question to make a list of questions of things you expect out of bank and ask each bank and whoever meets your needs might lean you towards your answer. Also every bank is different rates, fees, ect. So I guess thats all lol..good luck! |

i banked with wachovia, and they suck.
they have good loan rates, but for a personal savings and checking, no way, sucked sucked sucked.
i took my business to a credit union, way better than either option you lay before us today.
but, as far as bank of america, they have this deal if you have a checking and savings account with them, for every purchase on your debit card you make they round up to the next whole dollar and deposit that into your savings account.
example, you use your debit card to pay $1.49 for a coffee and they give you $0.51 cents in your savings account, free.
im sure there is a cap on that per month, but, how cool?
wachovia didnt do anything like that, all they did was add up fees. |
