Who has the worst customer services n t l (cable tv ) or British gas?
When I complain to ntl, they give me 2 months free. On that basis, they can be as useless as they like.
When I was a customer of British Gas and they ripped me off, they simply ignored my complaints until I changed supplier and sued them.

i used to have ntl and they were awful - you'd be queing to talk to someone for hours and just get cut off. the product is rubbish compared to sky.
i will never use them again.

NTL were undoubtedly the most useless incompetent and rude firm I have ever had the misfortune to have dealings with. Now that they've taken over Telewest, who I changed to, I'm not very happy. I'm not with British Gas now, but never had any problem when I was. Maybe I was lucky.

This is a loaded question which is designed to provoke negative comment about these two companies.
It is also a question of comparing apples with pears, the two companies exist in different markets.
I have been a customer of both and must say that I have always enjoyed good customer service.
If you were to say did you get better service from BT or NTL, I would have to say that NTL were much better. At least with NTL, I had a connection in three weeks and problems were sorted out.
With BT, I am still waiting for a solution to a business phone line problem after 3 years!

If British gas is like all the rest of the utility providers then it would be them. I have yet to see a utlity company have good customer service. Why should they is thier motto. You needs us so deal with it.
