As a 4th year marketing student.. A consumer is the targeted market that your/a product is directed at with different forms of advertising, a consumer is an individual or groups of individuals that purchase goods or services for their own consumption. In essence we are all consumers as we all take part in exchange for goods and services

You are the consumer. The buyer of products

A consumer is a person who spends money on certain products in the marketplace. Someone who is informed in the marketplace.

One definition would be: Individuals who are the end users of the final product or services produced by the supply chain of products and services.

For example, you buy a car as a consumer. The car is sold by the dealership who bought it from the car company, who assembled it from the parts bought from auto parts manufacturers, who purchased the finished iron plates from steel companies, who bought the raw iron from mining company, who mined the ore. Every company in the list is a "middle man" who together produced the end product or service to the consumer.

I'm one! :)

Consumer is a human being [rich or poor] buys a product[s] with manufacturing cost [with profit] of Rs 4 at Rs 10 and the difference of profit of that Rs 6 goes to wholesalers and retailers and C&F agent and celebrities advertising the product and these wholesalers/retailers/celebrities etc do no add/improve the quality of that product and they just move/inform that product and sometimes misinforming about the sad products to the consumer.
That consumer works 18 days in a month of 30 days to make those wholesalers/retailers/celebrities richer and the consumer remains poor/broke generally even though the consumer is very powerful.
