I only know about the Australian part of the company Virgin Blue. Not sure which you were asking about.
Until recently Toll holdings an owned a controlling share in virgin, but in the last month toll payed out the Virgin stock to shareholders, so it is now owned by a variety of ASX shareholders.
Richard Branson no longer owns a controlling stake in Virgin Blue. I not sure about the other Virgin Brands, but I doubt he own all of them.
