Who is truly to blame for the decline of the High street?
Supermarkets are often blamed for the decline of the high street. However, are they not just taking advantage of the chances that are there. Where does the problem stem from?
The car being made ever more Cheaper meaning people live in suburbs and have to drive to a town. The town is not designed for cars, no parking, congestion etc.
Also I think although we have rose tinted spectacles about everything in the past, going around separate shops for meat,veg papers etc is just annoying! and irrelevant in todays world.
When I was little my Grandmother made conversation with the owners of every single shop! the process of shopping took ages!
I for one am glad I live in todays world in this respect!

I blame the supermarkets, and chain stores. Every time a new supermarket moves into town, there is a net loss of 400 jobs.

credit card company they give people the chance to get load of money to buy lets say a big TV then a couple of month later they get bill with high interests so they have to try and save money to pay it back so hey have not got money to go down the high street
