McDonald's, Dunkin D's or who ever is in a store leases the space and pay the staff themselves. The leaser will also pay a % of their monthly sales to the renter as a profit sharing fee. The reason being is people came to shop and endedup eating as a bonus so the restaurant pays a "finder fee" to the store.

I think Dunkin Donuts is paying a share to Wal*Mart for having a store there. Kinda like paying rent. We have a Subway in our Wal*Mart so in the kitchen dept of Wal*Mart I can smell sandwiches. But those who eat at Sunway or Dunkin Donuts are customers of only them. Wal*Mart does not profit from someone eating at Subway or Dunkin donuts inside Wal*mart.

The restraunt would pay you if you worked at the restraunt. The restraunt leases the space from Wal-Mart.

No, usually a place like McDonald's will rent the space from Wal Mart, but their bookkeeping is totally separate other than the rental transaction.
