Who really uses child labor?
I started hearing that a store I like uses child labor, which is Hollister. Infact, I was told that the whole Abercrombie company does. Then a little later, someone told me that all Gap stores (Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic) uses child labor as well. Now all of a suddenly I'm being told like every store uses it including Victoria's Secret and the Express companies, Disney, Wal-Mart (although I thought that issue was resolved), and the list goes on..... I'm not sure if all of these allegations are true or if certain people just have this hate for these companies. So, does anybody know who really is and isn't using child labor?

Shay-La
They certianly have their products made in places like China, Korea, and Indonesia where there are no child labor laws, or labor laws at all for that matter, and they can pay the children less than adults, so it makes more sense economicaly to the big fat guys running these places to do that, even if they know what effect it has on the kids. You can never be sure.

And by the way, Tommy Hilfiger (or however you spell it) claims that thier products are made in USA, but they are actually made on an island that is technacaly a US teritory, but there are no taxes nor labor laws there.

Honestly if your looking at a particular company, just do your research first.

Pretty much every company who has operations in developing countries where schooling takes a back seat to poverty so children have the simple choice of work or starve.
