I hate Walmart cause they offer low wages and I really dont think they care about America and the American consumer.
( I watched a documentary on Walmart.)
I would gladly pay a few bucks more for a product, if I knew it was made in America by Americans.
I know, they do carry some products made in America, but can someone tell me the ratio on that? |

I'm a strong supporter of American buisnesses but, honestly, the whole debate over walmart is ridiculous. This is a free country and they can do what they want. I do understand some arguments however there are thousands of people who can't afford to pay a few more bucks for their food because that money doesn't exist and not to mention the millions of jobs that Walmart has opened. |

I couldn't agree with you more! I think since Sam Walton died, WalMart turned into exactly what Sam didn't want it to become.
As for ratio for American/Non-American made items...I'd bet it's around the 20% American made neighborhood.
Sad. I'd personally like WalMart to pull back a little. They're putting small town American stores out of business. Some of these family-run businesses have been around for over 100 years. WalMart moves in, and everything around it closes.
I don't think that's fair. |

Here's something that will put a smile on you Walmart hating face- Walmart opened in S. Korea but couldn't compete in the market and had to close. No more Walmarts in Korea. Not every country is interesteted in being Wal-martized. They like their E-marts (Korea owned), Home Plus (England owned), and Carrefours ( French owned ) much better. |

Sadly, WalMart has also taken over Canada. I think the WalMart corporation is pure evil. I'm saddened by the fact that soon they will own the entire world, and put the freaky smiley face everywhere. |
