Bonnie B | Who would you employ? |
You are interviewing people for a job in you're company, and only two people apply. They are both as good as each other, and both really polite and easy going. The only difference is one is stunning, and the other one, well wasn't at the front of the que when looks were given out.
Which one are you more likely to employ?
Be honest, and just imagine that you own a business. Additional Details Thats why I said they are at the same level, and have the same amount of experience. |

The not so good looking one; I have enough insecurities already without having to look at a stunner everyday at work! |

the not so good looking one, they won't be looking in the mirror every minute and chatting to the next blonde whether male or female.
i once worked with an attractive but dumb bird and she was a total pain, all the blokes, dim they can be, fawned over her, whilst the rest of us just had to catch up her slack, even if she had been good at the job we wouldn't have minded but it was a case of useless bimbo |

If the job is customer facing.....I would unfortunately be shallow and go for the looker because first impressions count.
Not a very PC answer but the truth is not always nice. |

The not so good looking one. The plain quiet ones are always the dirtiest in bed. |

Customer facing = stunning one - means a greater proportion of people looking towards you and your goods (almost free advertising)
In an office = the average looking - wouldn't want to risk unnecessary distractions in an office environment |

If it was me and my company i would take their personalities into account. They are most likely not going to show you their true personality in an interview so your going to have to work it out of them or do a bit of background research on them like look up any online profile they may have. |

It depends. While my initial thought was the stunning one. If I'm going to look at them all day, I may still be temped. If it's going to cost me my business, then maybe not. If my business requires a face onto the public role, I suppose the more attractive one. If it doesn't matter, I suppose in reality I'd pick the one I could get on with better in a social or work environment. |

The person that is more qualified... |

the one with the most business acumen.
Or the one who promised to come in every day on time.
Or the one that came out on top if I pitted them against each other.
I might even hire them both.
Looks have nothing to do with it unless you have some unstable people in the office. |
