A wise prophet once said, "...men are that they might have joy." While our existence is often hampered by trial and tribulation FOR which we may not be happy...we can certainly be happy IN these same situations. In other words, we will most likely not be happy FOR our adversity...but we can be happy IN our adversity if we remember the reasons we are afflicted.
For the religious, adversity is understood as a test of our resolve and faith in a being who controls all. Additionally, this test is necessary to prepare us, or better said, to qualify us for something of greater worth that we may not yet fully understand. As we show our faith and commitment to live our lives in accordance with God's will despite our challenges, he grants us the strength to overcome and enables us to be happy even during those times when it would be logical to feel unhappy. |

If we resign ourselves to will of God, and ask HIM to accept these sufferings to offset the bad breaks we may have made in life, I don't think we need to worry. But we must keep our heads balanced, and not panic.
These sufferings can be a start of good luck for us later too! |
