I've noticed gas prices have started to come down some in the past week or so, maybe 5-8 cents....WHY? The summer driving season is underway! Demand is higher. It's their number 1 excuse for raising them. And yet prices are going down?
Could it be that they never had to be over $3 a gallon as early as freakin APRIL????? Obviously the crooks wanted a head start in getting all that money this year.

Normo, that's the bad excuse the oil companies used this past Spring. The problem is, I never noticed gas hitting above $3 a gallon in the Spring! Is this a new thing?? And why do they act like they don't expect that to happen? Why can't they make sure there is more supply when Spring rolls around? I remember about 3 years ago when gas went way down right before Memorial Day, so I don't buy that excuse!!! |

They are saving themselves for the first hurricane. Once that happens, they'll say that the refineries have sand in them or something, and gas will be over $4 per gallon. |

I'm glad it's dropping. I wish it could drop even more and stay down. I am sick and tired of $3 a gallon or higher.
And I better not see $4 a gallon or I swear, I will stop eating ,stop working, & stop driving.

Crude petroleum has dropped the past few trading sessions. The underlying crude price has an impact on refinery prices. Look at crude prices and therein lies part of the answer. Other market variable are a work too. |

I'm glad they are dropping.
but I sure hope they aren't dropping it to prepare us for very high prices later this summer.
Maybe some refineries are producing oil again.
The gas price should be around $2.63 or $2.58 a gallon when crude oil is like $65 a barrel. |

They always shut down refineries for maintenance in the Spring (just in time for Spring break, Memorial Day, etc). Now they are back up and running. Prices would have dropped more, but some refineries in Iran were damaged by a storm a week or two ago. Blame the prices on Congress; they haven't allowed us build more refineries in 20 years. |
