Why are web prices cheaper than store prices?

Because they charge more for shipping and make a profit there too.

Less overheads, plus they have them first at wholesale price and sell them on for that little bit less.

Because you dont have to pay for the shop's overheads or the staff to put in it.

Mags
Shops have to pay staff . The internet can be operated by one person. One click and you are away buying ,selling or just checking.

Because over the internet there arent store workers who need to be paid.

There are far less "overheads" in cyber space so things can be cheaper.

Simple..... with a store, you have to employ sales people, who you have to pay so much per hour, even if nobody comes into the store........ then you also have to pay the electricty bill from having lighting / computers / cash registers switched on all day....... then of course they usually have to pay the local authority business rates for the premises (usually a bloody fortune these days.. like my local hardware store was paying £30,000 a year before it closed down earlier this year) + all sorts of other things.

With a website, you only have to pay for someone to deal with the website...... a few people to process the orders...... host the website on the webserver banks of a hosting provider for so much a month...... transactions usually automatically processed online.... then of course online you're presenting whatever you're selling to a wider audience, not just people in the local area.

Manufacturer directly sell's to consumer and there are no middle men that's the main reason.

Not so many staff to keep on the books

pffff
they charge on shipping too

1. they don't have to pay for the show rooms or shop buildings

2. they only have to ship it once-to the person who has ordered it, and not to the shop as well

3. less overhead/prices on sales
