I understand why people hate Wal-Mart. What I don't understand, is why they give other mega, discount retailers, such as Target, K-Mart, Meijer, and Costco, a free pass.

Printing more money for no apparent reason causes inflation. Let me give you an example of how it works. Imagine having a baseball card that is very rare (lets say only 5 like it), the value of the card is high. The more baseball cards they make like yours decreases the value of your card etc...Same idea with currency. Hope this helps.

Currency has to have value based on something like gold, property holdings, investments, etc. There are many things to consider, including it's value compared to other countries.

When any country prints currency it compares its value with gold and it puts that much gold in the bank. This is simple example.
Now you are saying why can’t any country print currency to become richer, it happened in front of us that is Zimbabwe. They had short fall of money so they printed more money, more money, and more money till its lost its value. No body wants to do business in there money.
At present most of the world business happens in US dollars.
