My personal belief is that as the world's population grows, the densities of the earth’s population (especially in the cities) are growing; People are living on top of each other! Just like in that rat study where they became violent as the rat population grew. My feeling is that we are better then the rat and while some that refuse to consider/understand different cultures/nationalities/religion but in the sprit of humanity, it serves our race to love each other through understanding... diversity, it's a good thing.

If you consider after the Enron/Worldcom scandals, where many people had much of their holdings in these companies, many were wiped out. With diversification you protect yourself from harm from the stock market in case you catch a bad company. You also set yourself up for growth in several sectors instead of being locked in one sector. Also, if you have a bad day in one sector, it gets negated by having 4 other sectors/stocks to back you up on. |
