1. I hate that when I have an issue and am irritated, I get additionally irritated talking to someone who I don't understand and who doesn't understand me.
2. I hate that with all the people we have here who need jobs we can't operate call centers here, and that businesses are so into profit that they won't pay decent wages.
3. I hate that in all other countries there are restrictions on hiring immigrants, legal or otherwise, and that these countries put employing their citizens as the first priority and we don't. |

To start with, businesses really DON'T want you to call because each call costs money. The cost that Dell cited per service call was $30 per hr if done on-shore. So if you have problem AFTER purchasing a product, they do everything to make it a frustrating process so you don't wait to speak to somebody. They don't really care if you are angry because they have been paid. This is the truth. Some firms use Internet help tool for you to chat with someone instead.
Businesses that make money from actual transactions on the phone (used to be airlines, travel, insurance) rarely have delays because they don't want you angry. |
