Because we as Americans have collectively allowed it to happen.
We buy things that are made overseas instead of buying "Made in America" labels to save a few dollars or cents.
We have allowed lawyers to force companies out of business with frivolous law suits, and politicians have created laws for employers that are difficult to follow and pay for.
Yet the American public screams for a good return in their 401k from these same companies that have to compete in a global economy.
We hire contractors to save a few dollars that use labor that is underpaid or illegal.
Americans have done this to themselves. We need only to look in the mirror.

~cheap child labor, no insurance,no benefits,no vacation pay...should i go on?~

stormwarnfm
Companies frequently outsource internationally because the costs of the labor are cheaper than what the average US worker asks for in hourly wage.

The major drawback, however, is often times, they will use children as a resource, and even though the pay is very low to what they'd pay a US worker, they don't pay them enough to even live off what they earn unless their whole family works for them.

It is a sick practice that needs to be stopped, sooner than later.

CHEAAAAAP and easy. No environmental regulations, no employment regulations, cheap employees and support from foreign governments.

Payroll is lower and also many jobs are being sent overseas. Also many regulations are not enforced or exist especially environmental.

Wal-Mart is NOT the only one.
