If we learn to conserve then there will be fewer outages. Energy companies are having a hard time keeping up with demand because of environmental concerns.
Coal remains the biggest part of creating electricity and creates a lot of pollution. Wind farms are used more but there are still concerns like space, bird migration, useful land and noise pollution.
It does make them look better to seem concerned or caring, but all in all they really do care on some level. |

The more people that use electricity, the harder the powerplants generators work.
The more water the generators have to use to keep up with the demand.
If too many people are useing electricity, the less power is being supplied.
Hence ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,needed conservation. |

electric companies purchase there electricity in prepaid amount for the year. kinda like a person on a prepay phone card. it is purchased at a discount rate and they only buy what they think will be used, if they go over that amount then the power plants charge them alot, like a cell phones roamig fee, then they loose money. |

it makes them look like they care, which they dont. you cant pay, its cut off. some of the bigger ones are already making enough money, so they dont care if your a customer or not. i helped a friend pay a bill, the only way i could find out how much she owed was to put my name on her account, which i did, and paid it. a year later i was sent a bill by the same company for her debt from later use. i couldnt pay it so they cut me off. its all a front. |
