Why do factory workers work for three shifts?
its actually an a assignment in values education.not very much of a lesson in character isn't it? but it's still a homework.the lesson is all about woman having a great role in the society.

The legal work day is 8 hours, and there are 24 hours in a day, so working 3 shifts allows a factory to operate around the clock, and maximize production.
I'm not sure how this relates to women directly...other than that, the constant operation of the factory requires three times the labor force, which in turn would create more employment opportunities for women to fill the ranks.

Ian L
One of the reasons why many companies do shift work (work for three shifts) is because some companies use boilers, which can take several hours to bring up to the right Temperature, and shutting down every night would cause many hours in downtime, or loose of revenue, other companies can use lots of power, and their best production can only be done in the night, why some companies can not produce enough of something in a single shift, so shift work becomes available to to workers of the workplace.
