I know its stupid stuff like labor, prices are way to low that that they take out other business (not entirely true, there are towns with wal-mart thta still have other stores like target, ffreedys little mom and pop stores etc) or even trafic
i nwant to know the real reason why people hate walmart, dont say traffic because if they put another store there it would be the same damn thing. also if your like 75-80 years old and still running a little store, it should be time for you to retire |

While Wal-Mart does have low prices, they have to put A LOT of pressures on their suppliers to get those cut-rate costs. In turn, the suppliers have to put a heavy amount of pressure on their vendors, which can lead to cost-cutting procedures (not enough testing, lower quality materials, etc) that lead to problems for American consumers. Just look at the amount of recalls that have surfaced in the recent years.
On top of that, their relations with their own employees are awful. Their benefits are some of the lowest in the industry, and those are the lucky few who qualify for benefits in the first place. Their labor practices are questionable at best. |

Sure Wal-Mart buys alot from China, who doesn't. If you want low prices..it is from China.
A lot of PEOPLE must NOT hate Wal-Mart as they sell more than anyone. And they have more employees than anyone, so the employees must not all hate them. |

I am not sure why you think someone 75-80 years old should retire if they are running their own little store. That is a good way for them to keep in contact with the community and make some money at the same time. Obviously you must be quite young to have such an attitude. That will change with time. |

they're a corporate giant that abuses their low level staff. they put smaller companies out of business, eliminating competition. and it's trendy for some folks to hate them. wal-mart DID a good job in the Katrina relief effort, better than the government. |
