I love Wal-Mart but there has been a lot of controversy about it in the past. You can either choose to pay higher prices someplace else or just suck it up and go in there and pay the lower prices. With the economy in the shape it is in today I HAVE to suck it up and go in there. Because of it's size it closed down a lot of the Mom & Pop stores around the country. That does suck because it ruined businesses. |

In many towns, its the only store around for miles. People are stuck shopping there because its the only affordable place to shop. With gas at $4 per gallon, we can't afford to drive 20 miles to buy school supplies for our children. Buying from Wal-Mart means sending our dollars to China instead of keeping our hard-earned money here to benefit Americans. |

lol because that website is owned by a union...didnt know that did you? but yeah alot of those anti walmart sites are owned by unions.walmart is not against unions ,but dont feel that the associates have to pay to have someone speak for them ,when the associates are able to speak for themselves which is why walmart has an open door policy...something i have used quite often...myself personally,i think unions are great but not with companies dealing directly with customers...think about it,if you wanted help in electronics,but since i work in groceries,i couldnt help you ..i would have to go to my union boss for permission to do customer service in another area (pathetic if you think about it) before even attempting to do anything for you...lol great customer service.huh?i think not ..smiles the customers would suffer and the last time i looked it was those customers paying for our check..not the unions plus why would we have to dish out our hard earned money to have to pay for union fees and couldnt even be garunteed a pay increase to cover those payments.walmart may not be the best retail to work for,but just how much better is target or kmart.walmart has never made an apology for trying to put their customers first and why should they ? its the customers that are keeping walmart in business..if i were tired of working for walmart...i wouldnt complain id use the energy to find a better job |

walmart does not abuse it's employees.i have 40 hours/week,vacation,profit sharing & vacation. i get a break every 2 hours.
in some areas,esp. rural,walmart is the only game in town. a supercenter is the only grocery for 20 miles. it's cheaper than a traditional grocery. it's one stop shopping.
i have to update this.next time you go to walmart,please read the packaging & see where that item was made. 98% of the inventory is made in the USA,the produce is locally grown whenever it's available. |

Because they drive out the mom-and-pop stores that are rooted firmly in your local community. Yes they are cheaper, but look at where you money goes when you buy plastic pumpkins at Wal-Mart. Id rather spend a little more and support a local business with an owner that lives and is part of the community.

I've seen this movement too...I saw a whole documentary where people voted for Wal-Marts not to build and hated on the company. I hate Wal-Mart because I think every white trash person in America shops there. I'll go there, but I go LATE at night- like after midnight so I don't have to deal with people. Also Wal-Mart has been in the news in the past few years for all kinds of shady stuff, like wronging employees, questionable ethics, recieving unfair tax breaks, charity scandals, unsafe security in parking lots, and hurting small business owners when they come into small towns. NEWS FLASH- Not everyone loves Wal-Mart. |

Everyone I know loves Walmart and everywhere I look they are building new ones.
I think rich elitists don't like it because it's a successful company that helps poor people get food and other products very cheaply.
I guess the rich folk have their servants buy their arugula at expensive markets, but the rest of us don't have all that money to throw around. |
