Google doesn't require you to agree to a ridiculous binding terms of use policy before using their primary product (search engine).

Most of their services are free.

They're a creative, enterprising corporation which has invented useful things.

Microsoft is a ruthless, immoral corporation which has stolen ideas from others, screwed the ideas up then marketed them better in order to make a lot of money.

Google may not be very good as a company, but Microsoft is worse.

But then, I prefer GNU/Linux (http://www.fsf.org/) so I'm biased against Microsoft.

Let's see------ hum------- BOTH Companies are worth billions of dollars and employ thousands of people all over the world.

They both make a PROFIT for everyone who owns their stock.

They BOTH are NUMBER 1 within their business niche.

Both companies are worthless, accept that google is slightly more worthless than microsoft, because at least microsoft manufactures products.

As for the google fans, they're just a bunch of nim-whitted idiots incapable of making analytical decisions on their own and who follow the crowd and are basically google fans because the folks on cnbc tell them they are.

Microsoft wants to control your life if you buy any of their products. Vista is a real good example of control. Google lets you think you are in control. Much nicer to imagine you are in control. At least on their main frame webpage. Now if you are talking about that horrible Google bar on the Vista program, that has Microsoft written all over it.

Google is a fun, catchy name, and it is easier to figure out. Microsoft sounds boring, old, lame and slow-- and it doesn't seem quite as catchy as google. and google is more rememberable than microsoft.
