in alot of places walmart is the only thing around..in my small town we dont have kmart or target....we have to drive a couple hours away...and plus it has EVERYTHING...there are places all over that treat their employees bad...i use to work at walmart in another state...i loved it

People shop at Walmart because it is cheap and one-stop. Unfortunately most products on shelves in many retail chains are from China. It is a trend that has been happening for a number of years now. Take a look at any dollar store and you will see "Made in China".
You will be happy to know that Wal-Mart backed off of the law suit when her story became widely publicized and they apologized to Debbie Shanks and her family. I doubt whether they would have if it hadn't been so well known. |

I actually really do not like Wal-Mart, but we go there b/c in our area, Wal-Mart is cheaper than any other grocery store around. On top of that if you bring in ads, they price match the ad, so you can always get stuff cheaper by bringing those in. They have done a lot of remodeling lately on the Wal-Marts here, including building new ones, putting in nice wood floors, stuff like that. Now if they can keep them clean, it wouldn't really be that bad. |

Because of people like you whom don't like the store so therefore it isn't that busy plus the customer service and now they have the excellent SUNBANK there... They have lovely prices and I feel comfortable there with all the light |

wal-mart is cheaper, and has everything you want. it does have the same products as other stores and no it is not the same price. yes wal-mart is know to treat their employees like crap. that is part of the reason i don't shop there.now here is a question for you if wal-mart gets their products from china and all the other stores have the same products where do you think they get them from? |

Actually, Wal-Mart is not the only retailer that buys stuff over seas.
Nike's are made in Viet Nam. You can't buy those at Wal-Mart. Vans and Skechers are made in China. Again, you
can't buy those at Wal-Mart.
Those are just a few examples of products that are well-known and just about everyone owns. Look at the tags on your clothing - see anything made in USA?? Not much, huh?
Arizona brand clothing from JC Penney- not USA. LEI brand jeans - made in Mexico. Neither brands are sold at Wal-Mart.
When you go shopping are you ONLY purchasing what is made in the USA? probably not...People hate Wal-Mart for every other reason you feel necessary but this arguement about them selling only stuff from China is so friggin old and pathetic and really hypocritical when we all shop at other retailers and purchase clothing, shoes, etc....that ARE NOT made in the USA!!! |

Target and Kmart use child labor too. Check the tags and you will see made in China, Indonesia, Mexico, and so on. At least Target and Kmart are known for treating their employees better than Walmart. Alot of people shop at Walmart because it's their only option. |
