Mostly, because it is usually just a stepping stone. You do learn a lot in retail. But it should not be the ultimate career if you don't see any progress for long. Some of them love it but not all them pay that well. |

I use to own a retail store I worked as a retail clerk first I really liked meeting people and working with the merchandise but I know some employers do not treat their employees very well maby that's the reason you don't enjoy your work .Hope you find something that you really like to do in the work force |

Here is another question to ponder. If you are going to work retail(long hours, weekends, holidays, etc.), selling items for someone else, why not just work for yourself, selling a product that everyone in the United States can use? Why not be your own boss, work when you want, and bring in even more money then you ever would by working retail? Just another question to think about. |
