Some employers will "ride a good horse to death.", meaning they probably think you are the most reliable and competent. Another theory could be that they are hoping you will be unhappy enough to quit rather than dismissing you so that they won't have to pay unemployment benefits.


The Wife
Some bosses see potential in some employees and encourage more work. They see others as lazy and not going anywhere, so they do not invest time or give them projects. Make sense?

I know what you mean. my boss does the same thing. Maybe it is because doesn't like you or that he is jealous of your life. My boss does it to me because i'm new at work. that could be a reason.

Perhaps if you are newer or younger than most he would want you to prove yourself a reliable and capable employee. The ppl who have been in a work place a long time are usually left to work at the pace they always have, whether it be a fast or slow pace. Try to think of it as an opportunity to show your worth to the company :) If you feel that this is not the case and you are being singled out by your supervisor for no reason, he may just be a dick. In which case you can "don't worry be happy" or find another job.
