My guess is that people with lower incomes don't have much money because of the "great" economy we have right now. These are the same people who do most of their shopping at Wal-Mart.
I'm with you on Wal-Mart. Have you seen "WalMart: The high cost of a low price?" Good documentary. |

I think maybe the public is realizing how big a nazi company Wal-Mart is now. They used to be a good company to work for, but now that Sam Walton is dead all those greedy corporate lackys under him have the power. They don't care about people or thier employees they only care about the bottom line. I will not shop at Wal-mart for one reason because I used to work at Sams Club, and I know how they much they value good help (0%). I used to be a night merchendiser there. I was only allowed to work 40 hours per week (no overtime whatsoever), and if it took me longer than 8 hours a day to finish I had to cut out that extra time when payroll rolled over to the next week. Needless to say, I seldom finished @ quiting time. My workload doubled, then tripled, and then quadrupled, but my pay stayed the same. They will squeeze the life out of any person that works for them.
They were hesitant to give people fork-lift license's because they knew that they could get a better/higher paying job elsewhere. So thier ingenious idea was to make people drive fork-lifts without license's for months. I was one of these people, and if I were to hurt or damage something I would be responsible for the damages because I was not legally driving a fork-lift. I filed a complaint on Sam's with OSHA and someone from the office tipped them off and they licensed everyone before the inspections.
