This is happening to me too..
I think accelerator-media's domain has expired.
It shows the address, but in the top right it says 'network solutions'
The expired domain goes to the registrar who are using a trick to break out of the amazon page.
If you add:
127.0.0.1 ad.accelerator-media.com
to your hosts file (C:windowssystem32etchosts, I think)
You should be fine. It worked for me!
[Edit: I say 'I think' becasue I assume you're using windows and I'm using a mac. On windows you might need to swap the "127.0.0.1" and the accelerator-media address.
Anyhow, a quick google for 'edit hosts file' should set you right. There are huge lists that specifically block ads, too!
You'll probably need a reboot once you've edited it...]
for the apple guys you need to edit /etc/hosts
I use vi, so run terminal, and:
sudo vi /etc/hosts
but replace vi with nano or whatever is your editor of choice.
You just need you root password for that (the main account password if you haven't set up a master/root password. |

Same problem here.
I have Smoothwall firewall, Panda Internet security, Spybot and Windows defender all running scheduled scans each night. No reports last night, but running another scan just in case.
Seems to me like Amazon has a prob since lots of people are now suffering all of a sudden. |

Well, it appears to have been sorted, so I presume this was a problem Amazons end. |

Exactly the same thing here, on multiple browsers. Thanks for the info, was about to start going mad with AV and tools but if its on other OSs, gotta be a problem with the site. Only seems to happen on co.uk. Just checked a recent delivery note for a phone number but no such thing so I guess we just wait til they fix.
Update...
Thanks Alexander, the hosts file thing fixed it for me kinda, the ad frame, bottom left, is now showing 404, it must've had some dodgy code that was redirecting the parent page. Sort it out amazon!! |

I am also having this problem this morning. I reported it to Amazon this morning, so hopefully they'll deal with it. |

Yes, I'm having the same problem too, so there's obviously something going on... Should we wait for Amazon to deal with it, do you think? |

Very bizarre! I don't believe this is/was necessarily adware. I have full protection and am always careful. I am a computer systems engineer too. |

I log on to my Amazon account every day without a problem.
You might have a tracking virus. |

Having the same problem this morning, I already have a very good anti-virus/anti-everything else program so it's a bit strange this is happening now. |

Same problem here, on all PCs in the house.
You can get round it by hitting the stop button as soon as Amazon starts to load, but I will be wary of purchasing anything until it is solved. |

Sounds like you have adware or spyware on your pc.
Download Adaware 2007 (http://www.download.com/Ad-Aware-2007/3000-8022_4-10045910.html) in a first step to clean this infection.
Also run a virus scanner. |
