Why does Dell have such bad customer support?
I sent them a long email bc they sent me a faulty latop-they ignored it. SO I called them and after 40 minutes of talking to a guy who spoke less english then my 2 yr old neice, I was nowhere further then b4 I had called.
Think about this for a moment...they have such great deals on their computers. They get away with it because enough people rave about Dell that it must be the customer's fault. I have always been weary of their products because their prices seem to cheap. I am like that with Gateway too. The best ones I've found are HP computers or Sony VAIOs. Both are generally quite good and I hardly have any problems compared to others that own Dells or Gateways.

because like almost all "American" companies the outsouced their work so now when you call you get and indian(and not a Native American) who don't know nothing about what you need. If you want a way to prevent outsouceing write you lawmakers and ask them to stop allowing these companies to do so

They are all foreign! Cheaper that way...Sucks for us. If they only had americans or english speaking people Dell as a company would be even better!

Dell's support is so bad because they found out a few years ago they can save a ton of money by shipping their services over seas. By saving all this money they can buy cheaper parts and pass the savings onto the customer. That's why there are soo many problems with Dell computers because they are cheaply made and there is practically no support for them. I work on computers for a living and I tell you I could open up a shop and make a pretty good living on just servicing Dell computers because there is such a high demand for repair and customers get frustrated trying to get warrenty work done.
