houton tex | Why does Kohl's refuse to acknowledge Christmas? |
|
|

Rick K

I wasn't aware that they are doing so. But if so, they are bowing to the gods of political correctness. They are afraid of offending someone who may not celebrate Christmas.
Well, you know what? When the store doesn't acknowledge Christmas, if offends the heck out of me! And I take my credit cards elsewhere.
I know a lot of non-Christians who love Christmas, regardless. They celebrate a secular, non-religious Christmas, and have every right to do so.
So all you anti-Christmas stores, don't be looking for me to flash my platinum cards in your store!
Merry Christmas! |

they don't want to offend other religions, plain and simple. I know what you're going to say, "but they can put stuff up from every religion." yes, yes they could, but it's easier to not acknowledge religions in stores. |

they have christmas trees and decorations all over. how are they not acknowledging it? |

Dunno...

You've GOT to be kidding. With the advertising blitz put forth by Kohl's and others for this holiday season, you have to be blind if you think they're not acknowledging. |

#1. i'm pretty sure there's some holiday spirit in khols.
#2. why on earth does it matter? shop somewhere else if you're offended. p
uh-lease, even hollister's got the christmas lights... |

I don't know why Kohl's doesnt, but I know Panera as a corporate entity won't because it was founded by a Jewish guy, although individual stores can decide to put up specifically Christmas decorations if they decide to rather than just generic holiday decorations. |

? Around here they have decorations and they have sales flyers with Xmas stuff....what more do they have to do??? Besides, its churches that should recognize the holiday not the stores. |

It's politically incorrect to acknowlege a particular holiday ;
they acknowledge "holidays" |

Didn't know they didn't acknowledge it. Perhaps it's in respect of those who don't celebrate Christmas. Being neutral is a safe place to be. |
