This is in response to their new ad.
McDonald's is trying to copy Wendy's salads. Think of something original. I am so tired of McDonalds saying how you care for your customers by introducing salads & having trainers come up with workouts. You want to show you care, start at the store level with customer service that puts emphasis on customers. I had several bad experiences at several of your diners. I have written to complain but the response I get is "that is a franchise store and we will forward this to them. Someone will get back to you." ref#:1537992, ref#:1808464, ref#:1808466 That was July and December of 2003. I am still waiting for a response. I have vowed never to step into any McDonald's and tell everyone about the horrible service and customer relations at McDonalds. Now I have to sit back and endure your little ads. Not. You asked for feedback and I took the time to give it. I know this will just disappear in the cyberspace McDumpster, but at least I tried.

I travel all over this country and have tried many restaurants, but Mcdonalds really, really sucks at service. Sometimes I am in a hurry and need to stop at a fast food place but I won't be going to Mcdonalds ever again. I am not looking for a lawsuit just compensation for the crappy meals. |

I honestly don't know but in the whole time I have been eating the stuff it has gone from bad to worse. I have had missing french fry orders when I bought a trio, undercooked mcnuggets and recently when we got home we discovered that our quarter pounder trios were transformed into mcchickens.
This is on the take out side.
On the eat in side things have been better cause we can see our trays. I did have a nasty experience where I did not recieve my burger as I had requested. The manager took it back and said that he would fix it and bring it to my table. I sat there letting my fries get cold and finally I got up and asked the counter person what was going on. The assistant manager never did anything about it and I had to wait there another five minutes for my burger.
Don't bother trying to complain to McDonalds corporate they do not care. The only satisfaction I have ever gotten was in the form of free food and that is usually a manager in the store who does that. |

Your partially right, it does come down to money. McDonald's is hiring kids at minimum wage (or near to it), some of these are people have not matured and have not taken pride in what they do. McDonald's, in order to offer affordability seems to have sacrificed customer service standards. I believe that they will hire just about anyone off the street (meaning lower standards for their staff).
If you ever get the opportunity, please visit a chick-fil-A fast food place. I don't have any involvement with them but I have taken notice to their exceptional service. It is the little things, smiling, not giving the customer attitude when there is something wrong with an order, clean environment, and just caring. A good restaurant can screen potential applicants personalities and create a team of employees that are exceptional. Clearly the McDonald's that you have visited does not. |

Any restaurant is only as good as the owner/manager running it.
McDonalds has the strongest franchise model and most complete training ever organized for a franchsie business which has proven to make it the most success franchise in history.
McDonalds can not, however, make up for the individual talent level or ability of every franchisee and manager in it's system. There are quality assurance steps it does take to monitor them, but no system is food proof. There's is still the best around though.
If you want to complain, don't waste your time contacting a multi-billion dollar company. They're realists. They know that it is not popular to please 100% of people.
McDonalds is what it is. Fast food. Not high quality food, not excellent service, quick service. Their product is convenience, not food or service.
Accept them for what they are. For what they do, they're the best at it. Maybe your opinion doesn't mesh with the facts, but the facts clearly show they are the single most successful franchisor ever, anywhere.
Find another place to eat if the managers at the McDonalds you go to don't know how to run a store. It's not worth complaining about.

gawd, i have never seen so much pent up anger towards a fast food chain! stop spreading ur hatred and im sick of people saying all those things to food chains. if ur fat and miserable dont go to a fastfood, if u think they give bad service then go to a fancy resto, if u think they copied their salad from wendys then go to wendys..

It looks like you need to start going to Burger Time. Great food, good service, take out only. Small chain but great food. McDonalds is really the McDumpter of all fast food chains. They truely Zuck!!! |

That's 100% correct. They don't care about what the people think about the food or the restaurant they just care about if they get the money. McDonalds should go out of business. It is one of the biggest reasons on why America is severely obese. Why? |
