You make this claim, however where you did you get your pet cat or dog or bird? Did you buy them from a store? If you did, it's people like you that contribute to this inhumane treatment of the world's creatures.

As I can understand your concerns for hermit crabs being in a cup in some Walmart store, it is important to remember that I am sure the hermit crab would rather be in that cup then in the belly of one of the thousands of predators that the hermit crabs face in the wild. Hermit Crabs are one of the most crucial parts of the food chain. Not only do they help rid the natural environment of other dead organisms and fallen foliage, etc...they provide a virtually endless food source for the species that live in the surrounding area. So next time you see a hermit in a cup, buy him and give him a home. I just hope you don't have any cats! |
