Unions force companies to pay more money for salaries which means the company has to raise the price of its product or lose money. Which do you think they will do? That's why American cars are so high. They have to pay union wages which means the company passes that cost to the consumer. If Walmart pays union wages the cost of everything goes up in the store and I for one don't want to pay more out of my pocket.
The compactor is standard for most large and medium retail chains. Its not just a Walmart thing. Plus, if they donated a damaged baby bed they'd end up having to defend themselves in a frivolous lawsuit brought by someone whose kid got injured in the bed. |

yes unions are good but getting the people to vote on whether to have a union or not is tough.mark my word if they find out you or any one else is talking union they will fire you. They don't want a union too make them pay you what you are worth. I do think it would be funny to see walmart too be forced to pay a fare wage. six or seven dollars an hour is chump change in this day in age. But with out a bargaining factor in your best interest you will have to live with it. If you do try to get a union good luck in your Quest! |

wal mart doesn't want to pay their employees what they are worth, thats part of how they make billions. Big business giving small amounts to charities is pretty difficult for the business to deal with, and i don't know what to tell you about the shopping carts |

Unions are a drain on the economy. They are more greedy than Wal Mart. Unions had a place and time but they have worn out their welcome. IF you don't like it go get a job with a union but don't complain when you HAVE to strike and don't get paid. |

My mother works in a car factory and is in a union. Unions help, but they can be a pain too. They try to get fair wages for the workers, but they are also after their own agendas and wages. They are supposed to help with internal worker issues but sometimes turn a blind eye to the union members problems. Sometimes the strike is more about union wants than member needs. Or the kid of a union leader gets a job when there were many people more qualified that had applied. After my Mom being in the UAW (united auto workers) for over 20 years, I'm glad she's closer to retiring. Its as corrupt as any group of people gathered together and they seem to hinder more than they help. She's having a hard time at work right now because the Union rep won't step up and stop this 1 guy from making her life hell. And she's having to save as much as she can because their contract renews next year and she's scared they'll strike long enough to royally screw up her paychecks. So they can be good, but my family is tired of unions. |

A lot of people are against unions nowadays. I actually worked for walmart briefly and hated it to pieces. The reason for unions is basicly for people can get a fair pay and benefits. A lot of corporations try to provide these anyways so the employees won't unionize. Off course I don't believe walmart pays fairly. and there have been failed attempts to unionize walmart.Understand that any business will resist unoinizing becuase it will cost them more and therefore lessen there profits. That video is complete Nonsense theyare pro profit only and have these videos wich are blatant propoganda to discourage any desire to unionize. |

Kristi B ur prob just a wall mart investor or asociate: wall mart is one of the richest companies in the world if not the richest. I am pretty damn sure that they can spare a little money to their workers considering that wall mart makes millions off of their workers life insurance policies, and they force their workers to get state help because they dont want to have a health insurance policy that their workers can afford. this cost about 1.5 billion dollars a year, oh and thats tax payer dollars, so your still paying more out of pocket. |
