Stingy---they are all looking for ways to save their own money, or keep hours below 40 to prevent paying insurance and allowing you the privilege to advance, I have seen that so many time recently. They don't woant to give out more than they can prevent. |

We are charged an unemployment rate based on history. So for every $100 we pay in payroll, we pay $10 to unemployment for a total outflow of $110. If we have alot of claims, our rate might go up to $15 for every $100 in payroll, and it never goes down. The fewer claims, the lower our rate stays. |

I had always thought that when we worked, part of social security taxes taken out, a percentage was for unemployment?So ive always perceived it aswe paid for it, of course I know they might pay some of it also, but its not free for us also. |

Companies have to pay an unemployment tax. If a company has a low unemployment rate, it doesn't have to pay as much tax. |

Don't you just hate that when a company treats people like they are just another product. They would rather not have to pay for human product use, I would realy like to hear them talk about the failed products they make, because they want to pay as much as possible to their investors. Oh" if only the products they sell could talk back to them. What do you think they would say about being used in such an un ethical way? Thanks for a lead thought. have a nice day. |
