Look up the "Peter Principle" basically people rise to their level of incompetency.

Actually, not really. They are better at kissing up and play politics than doing actual WORK. And the worker bees never get promoted, because nobody will do the job. Need to work SMARTER.... and be high up there, so you get more moeny.

Sorry to disappoint you people. A well run company will evaluate an employee and if he is not fulfilling the expectations, out he goes. The Peter Principle may apply where certain institutions of higher learning have an " in " with a larger company and those who obtain positions will reach a level of incompetency. Too many did that in the past and as a result American businesses suffered, wilted and died. The company I worked for was a prime example.

Oh that is easy. No one wants the dumb guy on their team so to get rid of them they move him up the ladder. Happens all the time.
