Low pay
Poor working conditions
Work over load on employees; expected to give 110% all of the time.
Poor management.
Out of the way location of workplace.

every employee at every level has a market worth.....when the market worth is more than what the company is paying the employee turnover is high.

Really it all boils down to management. The way the company is run. For the most part pay and working conditions will not affect most people from leaving their jobs, because they are extremely happy at work. Happy employees, less turnover. I would stay at a low paying job with crappy hours if everyday I came home from work feeling fulfilled and accomplished. It's managements job to make you feel that way.

it all depends on the progressive policies of the management and satisfaction of the employee.
