Because people are funny that way.
We obviously love to spend our money there because they are both multi-billion dollars companies. We obviously love low(er) prices and the savings we get.
But, the unions are doing a great job of making us feel like the employees are being taken advantage of because they are not being paid 6 figure salaries with retirements and the world's best healthcare.
Reality check people. How can we complain if we are not willing to pay more money for their products? I, for one, cannot afford to pay $20 for a happy meal, can you? If the unions got their way, that is exactly what would happen. Why do you think the majority of normal American's cannot afford to buy a new car? And why do we think that the Big 3 automakers no longer buy their supplies from American companies? They have to cut costs somewhere.
And no company (or government) can remain in business if they have to pay employees for life AND retain the bad employees who should be fired.
Not everyone is entitled to lifetime pay and benefits. Nor can the American consumer afford to pay for them either.
Just my 2 cents. |

I dunno if I would call them bad. But, usually their workers make minumum wage. Also, they make sure that the majority of their employees (besides managers/assistant managers) don't work full time. Why? So they don't have to offer an health insurance plan to them. Those are my beefs with them. |

McDonalds: because they pay minimum wage.
Walmart: because they don't offer healthcare to their employees. |

McDs: Too much salt in their foods causes high blood pressure and other diseases....cheap flour for buns, cookies, and coatings converts into sugars and raises sugar levels,....empty carbohydrates. Fried foods In their mainstay, no good for health if eaten regularly. Deserts no good because they emphasize empty carbos and sugars. Sodas full of sugar...diet soda filled with no good chemicals...no organic products...breakfasts emphasize empty carbohydrates, which make us crave them more. Low pay for workers.
Walmart: Repeated record of abuse towards workers and discrimination in addition to bad pay. Lave labor overseas produce many goods. |
