They pay just under the minimum to qualify for public assistance and free health care. Applying for these services is actually part of their employee training. This puts a a huge drain on the local economies and public assistance programs, as most of those people came from companies that provided health insurance and made better wages.
In CA there are incidents where they have literally put the county hospitals out of business, depriving an entire community of needed services.
Also there are reports of sexism, that they only promote males to the well paying positions. |

They have gotten a lot of criticism for supporting countries without workers' rights. The vast majority of their products are imported from China. China is still communist, so the Walmart logo should be red and yellow not red white and blue. They build all of their factories overseas which takes manufacturing opportunities away from the US. Quality is not a concern. They refuse to help the US, but feel free to capitalize on our somewhat mindless consumers. Globalization won't help the United States. |

i've heard alot of things about walmart....making people work overtime for no extra money... treating their employees badly,but i don't know if these claims are true...i've never worked for them. i like walmart...i figure if they don''t like the working conditions, they will find another job. |

wal-mart is killing our economy they refuse to support the American worker all they care about is profit for the board of directors and selling cheap *** imports from china they don't care about the quality of the product they sell just making a profit no matter what and if we can convince all of the trailer trash, illegals and everyone else who thinks they are getting such a great deal at wal-mart that they are killing America then they will go away. I don't know too much about the politics regarding Wal-Mart but I do know that they employ alot of people---more than the government or any other company. There helping the economy somehow. If their using any unfair practices then it needs to be reported and they need to be accountable like any other company.
I personally shop at Wal-Mart every now and then. They have very competitive prices. |
