Ask Dennis Kucinich - I think he'll start working on that right after Cheney's. ha ha Seriously though, I would say that it will be difficult to impeach him unless some crystal-clear evidence comes out that he was intentionally lying. Though most of us believe that he and his cabinet were lying about WMD for their own interests, we don't have any damning evidence of that. He and his cronies are good at covering their tracks. Oh and it IS in fact a crime to lie to the public if Congress were to investigate...it's called perjury. |

Because Congress doesn't believe he has done anything for which he can be impeached. It's entirely up to the House of Representatives to do this ... no one else can, by law. |

In regards to Robert's reply, he has done considerable to break US and International law. Just violating the public trust when you hold the office of POTUS in punishable.
They're not doing anything about impeachment for 2 reasons, at the moment we have other, more pressing problems. The US service personnel whose lives are currently at stake. While they did sign an agreement saying they would serve and die for the USA if necessary, the CIC is a twit. Also, timing in a power play is everything. This may be the long wind up for a big October surprise for 2008 elections. |
